The Chancellors Teaching Fellowship Program
The Chancellor's Teaching Fellowship Program provides graduate students
with the opportunity to participate in a closely supervised teaching
apprenticeship with a UC Davis faculty member. The primary purpose of
this fellowship, which is open to master's and doctoral graduate
students in all disciplines, is to enhance the preparation of potential
future faculty by supporting close collaborative relationships between
the teaching fellows and faculty members acknowledged as exemplary
teachers. The apprenticeship relationship is a critical aspect of the
program. However, the select nature of this award is also intended to
honor those graduate students who have demonstrated exceptional promise
as educators at the post-secondary level.
The Chancellors Teaching Fellowship carries a stipend for one quarter
of the 2007-08 academic year that is equivalent to the salary of a
half-time Associate-In ($1,891 per month, subject to range adjustment)
as well as a fee remission for the quarter in which the course is
taught.
